Cambridge English Centenary 2013: competition for schools

2013 marks 100 years of English language assessment in Cambridge and we are celebrating this anniversary throughout next year.

Reaching such a milestone is also a good moment to reflect on all that has changed over the last 100 years and to ask how English language teaching and assessment will be different 100 years from now.
  • Will students still need to attend class?
  • What will the role of the teacher be?
  • Will all exams soon be taken on a computer?
  • Will candidates taking an exam need to sit in the same exam room at the same time?

To enter the 2013 competition for preparation centres (schools), we ask you to share your thoughts with us on the future of English language teaching and assessment by writing a maximum of 150 words. Your written submission can be an article, a short story, or any other form of creative writing but need to be submitted using the competition entry form.

The ten best submissions will win a professional development trip to Cambridge in July 2013 to take part in a range of talks and seminars.

Watch the video of the 2012 winners to find out more about the competition.

The competition opens on 20 November 2012 and will close at midnight GMT on 31 January 2013. Terms and Conditions apply.
